BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed defenseman Jake McCabe to a three-year, $4.8 million contract extension.The Sabres announced the signing Thursday. A person with direct knowledge of the contract revealed its value to The Associated Press. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Sabres did not provide that detail.McCabe was a restricted free agent whose rights were retained by Buffalo on Monday.The University of Wisconsin product established a regular role in Buffalo last season.
