CHICAGO -- Blackhawks star Patrick Kane is expected to miss about three weeks with a lower-body injury sustained during a 4-0 win over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night. Kane, the teams leading scorer, was injured when he collided with St. Louis Brenden Morrow at 7:56 of the second period. Kane was favouring his left leg as he headed to the dressing room under his own power. He didnt return for the third. After the game, Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said Kane might be sidelined around three weeks. Morrow fell into Kane after he was checked by Chicagos Sheldon Brookbank deep in the Blues zone. "It was a freak play," said Quenneville, who earned his 700th NHL win. "Weve been fortunate most of the year. Well deal with it." Kane entered with 29 goals and 39 assists in 68 games.
