Two days after his team was ravaged by Glenn Maxwells 65-ball 145 not out, Sri Lanka coach Graham Ford was mulling over how Maxwell might be neutralised in the last match of the tour. It was Australias middle order that had largely troubled Sri Lanka during the ODIs, but with David Warner and Maxwell now having scored hundreds in the two most recent games, Sri Lanka will have to contend with in-form openers as well.Sri Lankas attack will also have to make dramatic improvements since their last outing, in which each of the five main bowlers conceded at least 11.25 runs an over.In the first T20, there were a lot of balls that were in the areas that Maxwell would want them to be in, Ford said. We didnt execute properly. We didnt have a superstar like Lasith Malinga in our attack, or someone with more experience. Weve thought about a few ways of going about our business differently, but once again its about execution.Sri Lanka had also conceded the highest T20 total ever, thanks, in part, to an abundance of full-tosses and long-hops. They played three specialist bowlers for the first time in the limited-overs series, but none could stem the flow of boundaries, as a full house watched on in Pallekele.I was surprised by the lack of ability to stay out of trouble on a good batting wicket, which is the art of T20 bowling, Ford said. Some of our bowlers are very inexperienced. We unfortunately dont get exposed to high-pressure T20 games that much. The [domestic T20] competition here is played in front of no crowd at all. In comparison, ten out of the 11 Australians play the IPL, and they all play the Big Bash League. So the occasion gets to young and experienced bowlers. To practice your skills is one thing but to execute it under enormous pressure is another.Though Ford stressed Sri Lankas own mistakes, he did laud Maxwells hitting prowess. Both Maxwells international hundreds have now come against Sri Lanka. He made his ODI ton against them in Sydney, during last years World Cup.If you look at Maxwells career, on his day, even the best of bowlers cant contain him. He had a fantastic day out. The pressure that he creates when he is hitting the ball that well leads to bowlers bowling those loose deliveries. Its about pressure. He has gone out and hit the ball amazingly well and hopefully he will not do well again.Lance Klusener was a fantastic striker of the ball, but he probably had a couple of areas that he targeted. He wasnt a player who scored 360 degrees like Maxwell.Fridays match is Tillakaratne Dilshans final outing as an international cricketer, and the tickets for the game have been sold out for weeks. Dilshan had a quiet match in Pallekele, where he was dismissed for 4, didnt bowl, and did not take any catches.Look, Dilshan has been a wonderful man, Ford said. He had just lost the captaincy when I first got involved with the team. He came to Australia and played amazingly well and really committed to the teams cause. I have had wonderful support throughout from him.Its wonderful to have his energy and commitment and the vast knowledge that he passes on. Its very sad to see such a legend of the game finally calling it a time. For me its a privilege to have been involved, been able to witness his exploits first-hand. He can be extremely proud of what he has done over the years, and certainly goes down as one of the greats of the game.Joe Flacco Womens Jersey . He became a key part of Yorkshires impressive pace attack and earned a recall to Englands Test side in 2014 before finding a place in the one-day set-up in the post-World Cup rebuilding under Eoin Morgan, Trevor Bayliss and Paul Farbrace.Initially it was a bit-part role last season and he then endured a frustrating winter where he did not feature in the one-day series against Pakistan and South Africa before belatedly being called into the World T20 squad when Steven Finn was injured. Once he made the XI he impressed with his hostility and that has continued with this summers one-dayers against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in which he has taken 13 wickets in seven matches. The confidence he is now feeling in an England shirt stems from the rebuilding process he underwent with Gillespie. He remembered an early stint in the Yorkshire nets during the winter that he signed for the club - following the 2012 season where he had played just one Championship match for Durham - where he could barely get the ball down straight and wondered whether he would have a future. One of reasons I moved to Yorkshire is that he was a bowler himself and went through his ups and downs, he said. One of the first net sessions I had with him was in the winter and I hit the side netting. I thought that was the end of my career at Yorkshire right then but he said dont worry about it, it is November and he pretty much said he just wanted me to run up and bowl fasst.dddddddddddd.Plunkett singled out the belief Gillespie had helped give him rather than focussing too much on the technical aspect of his bowling. It has been Plunketts pace - which can top 90mph - that has made him an asset to Englands one-day side even though he is no longer in the immediate Test match plans. At that time, he was what I needed. I was a bit raw, and struggling with my action, Plunkett said. I thought it was all about technical. But it wasnt - it was just about backing myself. When I went there, that was what he picked up straightaway. He does other stuff with different people, but he knew what I wanted. He just said to me bowl fast, and he backed me. With that came confidence and performance.Whenever you have a bad spell he is always there patting you on the back and saying, no worries, mate, you can change the game next spell. I take my hat off to him, I owe him quite a bit.Im obviously gutted - because he was good for me, and good for the team. Its a tough decision that hes made. But I want to thank him - hes been great for me. Hes brought me back to playing for England. So I wish him the best, and look forward to catching up when I get back to Yorkshire.Yorkshire have gone out of both limited-overs competitions - the T20 Blast and Royal London Cup - at the semi-final stage over the last two weekends but a hat-trick of County Championship titles remains in view as they sit second in the table, five points behind leaders Middles the table, five points behind leaders Middlerl] ' ' '
