MADISON, Wis. -- The Heisman Trophy campaign for LSUs Leonard Fournette begins Saturday at Lambeau Field. It could also be the start of yet another make-or-break year for coach Les Miles, with the fifth-ranked Tigers holding national title hopes.Wisconsin is poised to play spoiler in the marquee season opener at the home of the NFLs Green Bay Packers. One of the things you always find in your first game is an accurate indicator of who you are at that point, and where you have to go, Badgers coach Paul Chryst said.A victory over LSU could give Wisconsin a huge confidence boost to start a season with a brutal schedule. The Tigers are just an appetizer with Michigan State, Michigan and Ohio State still awaiting the Badgers -- and thats just within the first six games of the year.To have a shot at beating LSU, Wisconsin must slow down Fournette , the 6-foot-1, 235-pound bruiser who ran for 22 touchdowns and a single-season school record 1,953 yards last season.Weve got to swarm. Weve got to be relentless, Wisconsin linebacker Jack Cichy said. Just play fast and play relentless. It sounds like what LSU faces nearly every week in the SEC.But with so much at stake this fall, Miles likes the intensity in his players.I think this team wants more, said Miles, entering his 12th season as head coach. I think this team is a little bit more focused than other clubs that Ive had. Some other things to watch and notes for Saturdays game:DERIVING INSPIRATIONThe flooding this summer in Baton Rouge provided perspective for the Tigers. Many players are from Louisiana and some have relatives or friends who were displaced by flood waters. Miles also has experience coaching in the wake of natural disasters. His first season at LSU was 2005, when the double blow of hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated communities along the Gulf Coast. With everything thats going on right now in Louisiana, and what we went through, LSU football, I think, and what the team thinks, will help the community out, no matter what theyre going through, just to bring their hopes up high, Fournette said. The Wisconsin football equipment truck was also bringing donations of backpacks, school supplies and bottled sports drinks to Green Bay to give to to LSU equipment staffers at Lambeau. LSU would then take the donations back to Louisiana.GETTING DEFENSIVEThe Tigers have unique insight on Wisconsin . LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda held the same position the previous three seasons in Madison, where the Badgers had one of the top units in the nation. Arandas linebacker-led defenses were known for flexibility and unique blitz packages. We have a good scouting report on these guys. We know who the strong points in the defense are, LSU guard Will Clapp said.BIEGEL AND THE `BACKERSSenior Wisconsin linebacker Vince Biegel is known for his wild hairstyles as much as his pass-rushing prowess. Once again, linebacker is the strength of the Wisconsin defense, including Jack Cichy, who had sacks on three straight plays in the Holiday Bowl against Southern California. Hell start inside with Chris Orr in the 3-4 defense, with T.J. Watt -- NFL star J.J. Watts brother -- bookending Biegel on the outside.LSU QBBrandon Harris is looking to back up his comments about being a more mature and developed quarterback as he goes into his junior season and second season as full-time starter. Harris has said that hes expanded his arsenal of throws, and has worked to get better at making short, quick passes to play-making running backs or receivers who have the potential to make short throws into long gains, rather than trying to force intermediate and longer throws.WISCONSIN QBSenior Bart Houston is making his first career start at the home of his namesake, former Packers QB and Hall of Famer Bart Starr. Houston won a training camp competition with redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook. He has the benefit of having worked already for a full season with the offensive-minded Chryst, entering his second year as head coach. But as debuts go, it doesnt get much tougher than facing an LSU defense led by Aranda.---AP Sports Writer Brett Martel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana contributed to this story.---Online: AP College Football site: http://collegefootball.ap.org/---Follow Genaro Armas at: https://twitter.com/GArmasAPNike Air Max Outlet Schweiz . -- Devin Hester is done returning kicks in Chicago. HOW THE WORLDS BEST PLAYERS FARED IN THEIR FIRST A-LEAGUE OUTINGSTHE GOODDwight Yorke (2005-2006 Sydney FC - 21 games, seven goals): The Tobagonian striker joined the Sky Blues as a 33-year-old following success in England with Aston Villa and Manchester United. Scored his maiden A-League goal with a diving header from an Andrew Packer cross in the 1-1 draw with Melbourne Victory.Alessandro Del Piero (2012-2014 Sydney FC 48 games, 24 goals): Arguably the A-Leagues biggest signing, Del Piero was a veteran of more than 500 games and 200 goals with the Italian Serie A giant Juventus. His first A-League outing in wet and windy Wellington ended in a 2-0 defeat, but the former Italian international showed some nice touches as his free kicks and corners provided chances. He ran strongly despite a lack of recent match time.Robbie Fowler (2009-2010 North Queensland Fury - 26 games, nine goals; 2010-2011 Perth Glory - 28 games, nine goals): A Liverpool legend who earned the nickname God at Anfield, the striker netted from a penalty as the Fury went down 3-2 in their A-League debut against Sydney FC.THE BADMark Bosnich (2008 Central Coast Mariners - four games): Bosnich had not played professional football in seven years when he strapped on the gloves for Central Coast against Queensland Roar. He helped his side to a 4-2 win, but conceded free kick when one of his players ducked in the wall and was partly to blame for the Roars second goal when he came off his line to stop a break made by Massimo Murdocca and took his legs out from under him. Lucky to avoid a red card.Mario Jardel (2007-2008 Newcastle Jets - 11 games): The Brazilian journeyman averaged more than a goal a game in four years at Porto, winning two European goldenn boots.dddddddddddd Entered his first game with the Jets against Adelaide after 70 minutes but looked out of sorts having battled weight problems and a visa mix-up before his debut.Emile Heskey (2012-2014 Newcastle Jets 42 games, 10 goals): The former Liverpool and England marksman came to the A-League at 34. Showed glimpses of his class in his debut against Adelaide but appeared sluggish and in need of more match fitness as he struggled to make an impact. The Jets went down 2-0 at Hunter Stadium.HONOURABLE MENTIONSDavid Villa (2014 Melbourne City - four games, two goals): The prolific Spanish goalscorer with Valencia, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid made his mark just 15 minutes into his A-League stint. After coming on as a substitute, his stunning strike from the edge of the area helped City to a 1-1 round one draw with Sydney FC.Harry Kewell (2011-2012 Melbourne Victory 25 games, eight goals; 2013-2014 Melbourne Heart 16 games, 2 goals) : The Socceroos legend first graced the A-League as a 33-year-old after 12 years in the Premier League with Leeds and Liverpool, the latter with which he won the Champions League. Debuted in Victorys season opener against Sydney FC and was quiet early. He had a chance to score in the 45th minute but his header from a Marco Rojas cross was tipped over the bar by FC keeper Liam Reddy.Lucas Neill (2013 Sydney FC - three games): A star for Australia at the 2006 World Cup and one of the Premier Leagues most reliable defenders in his prime at Blackburn. The former Socceroos captain was unable to prevent Melbourne Hearts attack running rampant in FCs 3-1 loss. ' ' '
