Branden Grace is hoping a successful week at the RBC Heritage can once again be the performance which kickstarts his season. The South African overcame a three-shot deficit during his final round at Harbour Town to post a five-under 66 and finish two shots clear of Luke Donald and Russell Knox.Victory is Graces first ever on the PGA Tour and his second of 2016, following his triumph on the European Tour at the Qatar Masters, with the 27-year-old now hoping to replicate the run he managed after last years appearance in this tournament. Grace mixed seven birdies with two bogeys during the final round Ending tied-seventh in South Carolina last year sparked a run of form which saw Grace finish inside the top-20 a further 12 times worldwide during 2015, including top-four finishes at the US Open and PGA Championship, giving him plenty of encouragement for the months ahead. Its awesome and is something I have dreamt of, Grace told Sky Sports. Ive been out here over the past couple of years and have given myself some chances, so this is great. Graces Heritage glory Final round report from the RBC Heritage I played some flawless golf, even with two bogeys, but it was a tough day out there and you just had to grind it out. This is pretty much where it (form) started last year for me, as I had my first top-10 here on the PGA Tour last year and then it just kicked off. Graces win followed a missed cut at last weeks Masters I was in a really good frame of mind coming in to this event and Im now excited to see how the year turns out.Donald, who has now made six top-three finishes since 2009 in this event, was joined in a tie-for-second by Knox after the Scot posted a final-round 67.Knox broke in to the worlds top 50 with victory at last years WGC-HSBC Champions and was also a runner-up at the OHL Classic, with the 30-year-old delighted with his form ahead of a potentially busy year.Today I was thrilled, I played great all day and hit some nice putts at the end there, Knox told Sky Sports. I was happy with the way I conducted myself and the shots over the last few holes. Russell Knox now has three top-two finishes on the PGA Tour this season I played beautifully on the first day, but I just made a mess of the first couple of holes which turned a good round in to a terrible feeling.Of course winning again and the Ryder Cup are goals of mine now, but Im just trying to enjoying it. Im so fortunate to be playing in these great tournaments, so Ive just go to soak it all in and go for it.The next event on the PGA Tour is the Valero Texas Open , which youll be able to watch live throughout the week on Sky Sports 4 - your home of golf Also See: Grace claims Heritage title RBC Heritage highlights Harbour Town leaderboard Golf live on Sky Sports 4 Clearance Kevin Durant Shoes . IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa State spent the last 61 weeks in the Top 25.After getting crushed by Iowa, the Cyclones run as a ranked team is likely finished.Peter Jok scored 23 points and the Hawkeyes upset 25th-ranked Iowa State 78-64 on Thursday night, snapping a three-game losing skid against its instate rival.Isaiah Moss had 14 points to help the Hawkeyes (5-5), who start three freshmen, beat a Power Five opponent for this first time this season.I felt like we had the potential to be better than we were playing, said Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, whose once-reeling team lost to Nebraska-Omaha 98-89 last weekend. What were able to do is grow and learn.Iowa shot 59 percent in the first half, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range, and jumped ahead by as much as 46-29. The Cyclones (6-3) slowly chipped away at that deficit in the second half, but a 7-0 run by the Hawkeyes after Iowa State got to 60-53 finished them off.We were bad, Iowa State coach Steve Prohm said. We lost that game in the first half.Matt Thomas scored 14 points to lead the Cyclones, who were just 8 of 30 from 3-point range. Ball movement was again an issue for Iowa State, which had just nine assists on 25 made baskets -- although it did miss about a dozen layups. We have to play a certain way. We have to play with great pace. We have to play with great spacing. We have to play with great ball movement. Thats when were really good, Prohm said.THE BIG PICTUREIowa State: The Cyclones looked awful in the opening 20 minutes -- which they closed quite fittingly with an air ball -- and they couldnt shoot their way out of trouble. Stretches like that are starting to become commonplace for Iowa State, and thats a bad omen with Big 12 play a few weeks away.Iowa: After getting hammered by the likes of Virginia and Notre Dame, the Hawkeyes finally put it together against a good opponent.dddddddddddd The Hawkeyes beat Iowa State in transition and on the defensive glass, and their freshman-dominated lineup was hardly fazed in their debuts in this heated rivalry.POLL IMPLICATIONS: Losing to one of just two Power Five teams (Oregon State) with losing records as the 25th-ranked team in America wont look good to most voters -- and thats an understatement.RISING STARMcCaffery looks like he unearthed a gem in freshman Cordell Pemsl, a three-star recruit from nearby Dubuque, Iowa that most folks didnt think could contribute like he has right away. Pemsl is averaging 17 points in his last four games after an 11-point, five-rebound performance Thursday. People have to respect us. We may be young, but we dont use that as an excuse, Pemsl said.THE NUMBERSDeonte Burton, Monte Morris, Naz Mitrou-Long and Nick Weiler-Babb all scored 10 for Iowa State. But only Weiler-Babb made at least half his shots. ...Iowa had 13 assists and turnovers. ...Jok also had a team-high nine rebounds. ...The Cyclones like to run. But they had just four fast-break points.HAWKEYE STATEIowas fans delighted in finally beating their rivals again, chanting Hawkeye State! in the closing seconds. But despite the loss, Iowa State is much more of a potential conference and NCAA Tournament threat than the Hawkeyes, who will undoubtedly continue to have ups and down because theyre so young.UP NEXTIowa State plays Drake in Des Moines on Dec. 17. The Bulldogs are reeling after coach Ray Giacoletti abruptly resigned Tuesday less than four years into his tenure.Iowa also will play in next weekends doubleheader in the state capital, facing Northern Iowa on Saturday.---More college basketball at www.collegebasketball.ap.org ' ' '
