Branden Grace is hoping a successful week at the RBC Heritage can once again be the performance which kickstarts his season. The South African overcame a three-shot deficit during his final round at Harbour Town to post a five-under 66 and finish two shots clear of Luke Donald and Russell Knox.Victory is Graces first ever on the PGA Tour and his second of 2016, following his triumph on the European Tour at the Qatar Masters, with the 27-year-old now hoping to replicate the run he managed after last years appearance in this tournament. Grace mixed seven birdies with two bogeys during the final round Ending tied-seventh in South Carolina last year sparked a run of form which saw Grace finish inside the top-20 a further 12 times worldwide during 2015, including top-four finishes at the US Open and PGA Championship, giving him plenty of encouragement for the months ahead. Its awesome and is something I have dreamt of, Grace told Sky Sports. Ive been out here over the past couple of years and have given myself some chances, so this is great. Graces Heritage glory Final round report from the RBC Heritage I played some flawless golf, even with two bogeys, but it was a tough day out there and you just had to grind it out. This is pretty much where it (form) started last year for me, as I had my first top-10 here on the PGA Tour last year and then it just kicked off. Graces win followed a missed cut at last weeks Masters I was in a really good frame of mind coming in to this event and Im now excited to see how the year turns out.Donald, who has now made six top-three finishes since 2009 in this event, was joined in a tie-for-second by Knox after the Scot posted a final-round 67.Knox broke in to the worlds top 50 with victory at last years WGC-HSBC Champions and was also a runner-up at the OHL Classic, with the 30-year-old delighted with his form ahead of a potentially busy year.Today I was thrilled, I played great all day and hit some nice putts at the end there, Knox told Sky Sports. I was happy with the way I conducted myself and the shots over the last few holes. Russell Knox now has three top-two finishes on the PGA Tour this season I played beautifully on the first day, but I just made a mess of the first couple of holes which turned a good round in to a terrible feeling.Of course winning again and the Ryder Cup are goals of mine now, but Im just trying to enjoying it. Im so fortunate to be playing in these great tournaments, so Ive just go to soak it all in and go for it.The next event on the PGA Tour is the Valero Texas Open , which youll be able to watch live throughout the week on Sky Sports 4 - your home of golf Also See: Grace claims Heritage title RBC Heritage highlights Harbour Town leaderboard Golf live on Sky Sports 4 Cheap Air Max For Sale . METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints are so eager to generate some momentum after a sloppy start to the preseason that quarterback Drew Brees is likely to start his first preseason finale since 2006 on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Were gonna play a lot of our guys early on in this game, Saints coach Sean Payton said Tuesday. I think its important that those guys get work at those positions. And so our plan early in the first quarter is to play our starters and then make a transition at some point. When asked if that includes Brees and others who wouldnt normally play in the preseason finale, Payton said, Our plan is to start the game playing our guys. Yeah, thats our plan.Brees hasnt been too shabby this summer, completing 15 of 21 passes for 144 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. But the offense, in general, has flopped during New Orleans 0-3 start -- with the offensive line especially struggling in both pass protection and the run game.I dont know the playing time at this point, but I know the mindset this whole week has been that were playing, Brees said. We had a lot to work on obviously coming off of last week. And its just part of the process. Weve just got things were really trying to fine-tune, some things that are still in the works, to be honest with you. ...The more time we can get together, the better. When someone pointed oout to Brees that he hadnt played in a preseason finale in 10 years, he said, Doesnt matter to me, football is football, a games a game.ddddddddddddThe Saints starting defense played better in the first two exhibition games before getting torched by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 27-14 loss last week. And the Saints have repeatedly hurt themselves in the turnover department. Their margin of minus-6 (three takeaways, nine giveaways) ranks 31st among NFL teams this summer. We have to find ways to win games, safety Roman Harper said. This preseason, weve been finding ways to lose games. The timing couldnt be much worse, considering Payton stressed last month that he would place more of an emphasis than ever this year on winning preseason games. Payton said this young Saints team needed to build confidence and a winning culture following back-to-back 7-9 seasons. However, Payton said after Fridays loss to Pittsburgh that he is not concerned about any sort of demoralizing effect.I dont see it spiraling, Payton said. This is a good group. Theyre working hard. The key is that we just recognize the things. Weve still got more time here, but weve got to have a sense of urgency about some of these things that have shown up more than just one game. ' ' '
