Gennady Golovkin puts two of his three world middleweight titles on the line against Kell Brook in London on Saturday.Following an undefeated professional career he has forged a reputation as a destructive fighter, but who is the man behind the Triple G nickname?ESPNs Nick Parkinson provides five facts you must know about Golovkin...1. He is boxings KO king? With his sensible side-parting haircut, polite manners and ever-ready smile, Gennady Golovkin looks and behaves more like a friendly neighbour than the worlds most feared fighter. But in the ring, Triple G is ruthless with a killer instinct that has seen him assemble a 91 percent knockout ratio with 32 KOs from 35 fights and no losses. The WBA-WBC-IBF world middleweight champion has recorded 22 consecutive knockouts and the last opponent to survive the distance with him was French journeyman Amar Amari in Denmark in 2008.None of Golovkins world title fights since 2010 has gone the distance and, aged 34, he is showing no signs of erosion after destroying Dominic Wade in two rounds in his last outing. Golovkin has never been knocked off his feet as a professional or amateur and his fights come with a customer guarantee: his punishingly accurate blows nearly always produce a stoppage. His fellow Beast from the East, Sergey Kovalev, has an 84 percent KO ratio while Briton Anthony Joshua has won all of his fights via KO, albeit against fewer opponents. This is not a game, this is serious business, says Golovkin in his softly spoken voice.2. He is boxings No. 1 global starGolovkin has replaced comedy character Borat as the worlds most famous Kazakh. There was a combined audience of 1.4 million (from the afternoon and evening rebroadcast) for Triple Gs fight against Martin Murray on HBO in the U.S. More than a million saw the same fight live on free-to-air Channel 5 in the UK in February last year. His last fight against Dominic Wade in April was the most watched HBO boxing event in 2016 with 1.3m viewers -- according to K2 Promotions -- and over 100 countries will screen Golovkin-Brook live. But nowhere is he more popular than in Kazakhstan.Ive been in Kazakhstan twice and Ive seen how revered he is, Tom Loeffler, Golovkins promoter, told ESPN. Hes a national hero there and the face of Kazakhstan internationally. Hes the most famous person from there. He won silver at the Olympics representing his country and now hes winning world titles and has become Kazakhstans most successful professional athlete in the history of country. When you are on that level you have a lot of pressure every time you step in the ring.3. He travelled to London from Kazakhstan, via Stuttgart and CaliforniaGennady Gennadyevich Golovkin was born in Karaganda -- known as the Black City -- in the former Soviet Union to a Russian father, who was a coal miner, and a Korean mother. It was a different world to California where Golovkin now lives, and he also had to contend with sadness at an early age. Two of his elder brothers, Vadim and Sergey, were killed while serving in the Russian Army in separate incidents. The Soviet authorities never gave Golovkins family an explanation for Vadims death in 1990 and Sergeys four years later.Golovkins twin brother Max helps manage his professional career, which started in Germany in 2006 after winning a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics as an amateur. After turning professional, Golovkin lived in Stuttgart, Germany, and boxed mostly in that country until 2012. Six years ago, Golovkin moved to California and his wife Alina and eight-year-old son Vadim joined him in the U.S. in 2014.Golovkin trains in Big Bear, California with trainer Abel Sanchez, with whom he teamed up in 2010. He is promoted by K2 Promotions, the company owned by heavyweights Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, and like the classy Ukrainian brothers Golovkin is impressive out of the ring. He speaks four languages and avoids trash-talking.4. Rivals do not want to fight himSaul Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Billy Joe Saunders are among the rival world champions who have declined the chance to fight Triple G. When Chris Eubank Jr. was given the chance to challenge him in London this Saturday, the Briton stalled on signing a contract so promoter Eddie Hearn offered the fight to Kell Brook, who quickly accepted. Alvarez gave up the WBC belt and dropped a division rather than fight Golovkin this September but maintains he will fight the Kazakh. Promoters hope a fight between Alvarez and Golovkin -- boxings biggest two stars -- can be made in 2017.5. He has beaten two Britons beforeThis will be Golovkins first fight in the UK but he has faced two of Britains best middleweights in recent years. Martin Murray fought Golovkin after giving Felix Sturm and Sergio Martinez real scares in world title fights. The St Helens boxer was able to extend Golovkin until the 11th round -- the longest anyone has gone with the Kazakh -- in Monte Carlo in February 2015. Fellow Briton Matthew Macklin was cut down by a sickening body shot in Connecticut in three rounds in 2013.Hes in a different league to anything Ive fought and Canelo [Saul Alvarez] wont touch him, Murray told ESPN. Thats why Canelo didnt fight him, he was offered silly money to but he turned it down to go back down a division. I dont think Canelo will ever fight him and he might have to move up to get the fights he wants.Macklin is in no doubt as to who has been the most dominant middleweight since American Bernard Hopkins. Macklin lost a controversial split points decision to Germanys Sturm for the WBA belt in 2011 and a year later retired after 11 rounds against Argentine Sergio Martinez for the WBC title.Hes better than Martinez, even the Martinez of a few years ago, Macklin told ESPN. When I fought Martinez in 2012, he was fast, awkward and a spiteful puncher. But when I fought Golovkin a year later I thought he was much more of an all-rounder. He hits hard for a start, hes strong and his balance, footwork and judgment of distance are superb. Those are things that make him special. Your best chance is probably going toe-to-toe with him to see if you can get lucky.Clint Capela Jersey .
